Membership/Recruitment

Committee Charter:

This committee is responsible for motivating CPCUs to maintain membership in the CPCU Society and to participate in Boston Chapter functions and events. It organizes activities, which are social and charitable in nature, and supports the activities and events presented by the other committees. It also maintains contact with and keeps records of local CPCUs. In addition, this committee coordinates efforts with the President to involve new designees and candidate members in the Boston Chapter's activities. Efforts of this task force includes activities such as:

1. Inviting new designees to the New Designee Reception
2. Encouraging board members to meet and greet new designees at the reception
3. Inviting new designees to the New England Chapter functions at the annual meeting
4. Inviting new designees to the Conferment Exercises and Seminar.
5. Encouraging board members to meet and greet new designees at the Conferment
6. Assigning each board member and officer to call an assigned new designee to encourage event and chapter involvement.

Program

Committee Charter:

This committee is responsible for coordinating Boston Chapter monthly meetings and developing educational programs including reporting continuing education credits. This committee is heavily involved selecting various topics and speakers to provide interesting material and current industry information to chapter members.

Student Outreach & Scholarship

Committee Charter:

This committee coordinates Boston Chapter meetings and events by sending out notices and maintaining social media sites to enhance communications and visibility.

Web Communications

Committee Charter:

This committee maintains the chapter website, coordinates Boston Chapter meetings and events by sending out notices and maintaining social media sites to enhance communications and visibility.

Fundraising Committee

Commitee Charter:

This committee spearheads the annual company sponsorship drive and the annual golf outing.   We also work with the new designee/candidate development team to  plan social events for all our members throughout the year.

The annual company sponsorship drive is what brings in the funds that allow us to have our many events throughout the year.  By supporting the Boston Chapter, companies benefit with  complimentary meeting admissions, informative educational offerings, and prominent recognition at all Chapter events.   This committee engages with current and new companies and solicits their participation in our annual drive. 

This committee also organizes the annual golf outing.  Duties may include identify and working with golf course, monitoring web site for sign ups, keeping records of sponsors and foursomes, soliciting donations and raffles and working the event the day of.   It's a super fun day so this work is worth it.

I-Day Committee

Commitee Charter:

This committee is tasked with setting up our All Industry Day ("I-Day") Event which includes finding relevant topics, arranging for appropriate speakers, working with the Program committee on arranging a suitable venue.  This committee formulates the entire I-Day event including setting up the schedulings, writing the event details for the Web Communication Committee, etc.  I-Day is the largest event each year for the Chapter.

Good Works Committee

This committee organizes the Chapter's volunteer outreach events for the calendar year.  The committee's goal is to organize at least 4 events in which Boston Chapter members can participate.
